REGULATIONS OF THE VIRTUAL SECURITY CASE STUDY CONFERENCE

I. General Provisions

  1. The provisions of these Regulations apply to Participants and Exhibitors of the 2020 Security Case Study Conference, which is organized by the Cybersecurity Foundation with its registered office at 13 Branickiego Street, Warsaw.
  2. Applying to participate in the SCS is tantamount to a declaration of acceptance of these Regulations and a commitment to comply with them.
  3. The Regulations bind the Organizer, Participants and Exhibitors.
  4. Any information about the Conference can be found at https://www.securitycasestudy.pl/, on social media and on the Cybersecurity Foundation websites

II.Glossary

the Organizer – Cybersecurity Foundation, 13 Branickiego Street,Warsaw.

the Conference – 2020 Virtual Conference SCS organized by the Organizer on 10th and 11th September 2020 at the Virtual Congress Center on the VirBELA™ platform.

the Participant – a natural person registered for the Conference, according to the current price list.

the Exhibitor – an entity that is the conference partner and has an assigned stand in the EXPO part.

the VirBELA™platform – a software provided by eXp World Technologies, LLC based in the USA, designed to support remote work and organization of professional events in virtual space.In Poland it is represented by the Everitum Agency, with its registered office at 2 Gen.F. Kleeberga, Warsaw, based on an entry in the Central Registration and Information on Business; tax identification number:5222427351, national official business register number (REGON):014997554,

III.Conference

  1. The agenda of the Conference is specified in the Conference Programme, available at https://www.securitycasestudy.pl/.The Organizer reserves the right to change the Conference Programme until the end of the Conference.
  2. The participation fee in the Conference includes:
  3. a) in the case of the Participant: the right to log into the VirBELA™ Virtual Congress Center and to participate via this software in lectures, workshops and attractions planned and specified in the Programme.
  4. The Organizer allows Participants virtual meetings with Exhibitors’ representatives, but does not guarantee permanent presence at the virtual stands of Exhibitors’ representatives from the beginning of the Conference until its end.The Organizer does not decide on the length of meetings and is not responsible for the results of conversations held at the Exhibitors’ virtual stands.
  5. Lectures as part of the Conference take place according to the agenda published in the Conference Agenda.The Organizer undertakes to publish and update on the website all the information regarding the Conference Programme and any changes thereof.

IV.Registration for the Conference

Registration for the Conference is tantamount to acceptance of the provisions of these Regulations, as well as acceptance of the Terms of Use of the VirBELA™ platform, published at:

https://assets.virbela.com/legal/VirBELA_TOU_EULA.pdf and the Privacy Policy available at: https://assets.virbela.com/legal/VirBELA_Privacy_Policy.pdf, the content of which is an integral part of these Regulations.

V.Participation in the Conference

  1. The Participants and the Exhibitors participate in the Conference by installing, launching and logging into the dedicated VirBELA™ software.
  2. In order to participate in the Conference, the Participants and the Exhibitors on their own and without the Organizer’s intervention should equip themselves with the appropriate computer equipment and internet connection necessary to run the VirBELA™ software.
  3. The minimum hardware requirements necessary to run the VirBELA™ software:PC:Windows 7 SP1+ or later,
    1.8 GHz Intel Core i5 or 2 GHz AMD Phenom II, 4GB RAM,
    graphics card that supports DX10, free disc memory of 2.5 GB
    Mac:Mac OS X 10.11 or later,
    2GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM,
    graphics card that supports DX10, free disc memory of 2.5 GB
  4. The recommended hardware requirements necessary to run the VirBELA™ software:PC:Windows 7 SP1+ or later,
    2.5GHz Intel Core i7 or 2.2GHz AMD A8, 8GB RAM,
    graphics card that supports DX11 with memory of 1GB, free disc memory of 2.5 GB
    Mac:Mac OS X 10.11 or later,
    2.5GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM,
    graphics card that supports DX11 with memory of 1GB, free disc memory of 2.5 GB
  5. The internet connection necessary for the correct operation of the software should have a minimum bandwidth of 30Mbit/s download and 10Mbit/s upload.
  6. The Organizer shall not be responsible for the Participant’s inability to participate in the Conference if the Participant has not provided himself with the appropriate computer with the minimum configuration as specified in point (2) above and/or an internet connection bandwidth as specified in point (5).

VI.Order regulations

  1. 1.The Participants and the Exhibitors are obliged to comply with order regulations introduced by the Organizer and communicated before or during the Conference.
  2. The Organizer may deny access to and participation in the Conference for people:
    a) who are behaving aggressively, provocatively, rudely or in any other way threatening the order of the Conference,
    b) whose behavior violates the Regulations of the Conference,
    c) who do not follow the Organizer’s order instructions communicated during the Conference.
  3. In the cases indicated in point (2) above, the Organizer is entitled to remove the Participant or the Exhibitor’s representative from the virtual area of the Conference.In this case, the Notifier or the Exhibitor shall not be entitled to a refund of the fee for participation in the Conference.
  4. People using the VirBELA platform are prohibited:
    a) to allow unauthorized users to access the Services or use the Services, in particular by providing them with their own login and access password;
    b) to reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble source codes or make other attempts in order to determine source code or trade secrets regarding any content of VirBELA’s own platforms;
    c) to distribute, license, rent, sell, retransmit, publish, lease, or to transfer or disclose their own materials to the third parties;
    d) to change or create compilations based on the content available on the VirBELA platform.
  5. Any kinds of unethical or offensive behavior on the VirBELA™ platform among Conference participants may result in blocking the user, which will result in blocking the user’s ability to log into the VirBELA™ platform.
  6. If the Organizer detects prohibited behavior, the Organizer has the right to permanently block the account and there is no entitlement to reimbursement of participation costs.

VII. Final Provisions

  1. The Organizer reserves the right – in the event of circumstances beyond his control – to cancel or change the date of the Conference.If the Conference is not held for reasons beyond the Organizer’s control and which he had no influence on, the Notifier shall not be entitled to any compensation or reimbursement of any fees related to Participation in the Conference.
  2. The rules reserved in these Regulations for the Participants also apply to Exhibitors’ representatives and members of their technical team.
  3. In matters not regulated by these Regulations, the provisions of the Civil Code shall apply accordingly.
  4. Acceptance of the Conference Regulations constitutes a simultaneous agreement with the privacy policy of the Organizer’s websites.
  5. The Participants shall be obliged to familiarize themselves with these Regulations.
